Quick Thoughts on the Duke vs Notre Dame Loss

I was at this game this past Saturday night and I also watched it again on tv on Sunday.
Quick Thoughts
What an electric atmosphere in Wallace Wade Stadium once again! Duke fans keep showing up and let's keep this momentum going throughout the season!
It felt like this game was Notre Dame's game to get the win in the first 3 quarters.
Once Duke took the lead, it felt like this game was Duke's destiny to win in the 4th quarter.
From the fake punt by Notre Dame... to the two missed field goals by Duke... to the two made field goals by Notre Dame... to Sam Hartman's 17 yard scramble on fourth-and-16... - Duke couldn't catch a break as the luck of the Irish prevailed.
And most important of all the injury to Riley Leonard at the end of the game. I can take a loss but seeing Riley get hurt had Duke fans praying and hoping for the best as they left the game.
Injuries are never good but Riley suffered a high ankle sprain and is not expected to be out for the season and can hopefully return.
Shout out to Sam Hartman for waiting after the game to check on Riley Leonard.
Look other than the injury this game was a fun game to watch in a sold out Wallace Wade Stadium. As stated before, the atmosphere was electric.
Even with the loss, Duke Football remains in the Top 25 - #19 in the AP and #21 in the Coaches poll.
Duke has a bye week before another night game in Wallace Wade Stadium vs NC State with an 8:00 PM kickoff on Saturday October 14th.
