Duke Report - ACC Preseason Poll / Coach & Player Interviews and More
I have been back now a few days from the ACC Kickoff that happened in Charlotte, NC. It was a good event to get us all ready for the upcoming college football season. Today the ACC released their preseason poll from the 176 "media" voters. I now see the other 175 voters didn't quite agree 100% with my order 😂... but hey when has everybody agreed on the same thing.

Now let's play the stock game with my preseason poll. Some points I'd like to quickly blog about
I do have FSU winning the conference and "possibly" making the playoff. (I haven't filled out my playoff picks just yet) So yeah, I have FSU at #1 and Clemson at #2. I guess you could say I'm bullish on FSU and bearish on Clemson in that I think Clemson will do well but not win the ACC.
I'm bullish on Pittsburgh at #3 compared to the ACC poll that has them at #6.
I'm bullish on Louisville and yes it's because of their schedule.
I have Duke at #5 which is one spot above the ACC poll. I guess you could say I'm bullish on Duke even with their brutal ACC schedule. But even with their schedule, Duke has earned the respect of the media coming in on the ACC poll at #6. I think Elko and company will once again surprise people this season.
I am bearish on North Carolina in that I have them at #6 compared to the ACC poll that has them at #3. Look Drake Maye is an amazing player.. but it is because of their schedule I have them here. I see some potential very tough ACC games especially the last three in November.
I'm bearish on Miami putting them at #7 while the ACC poll has them at #5. Is this the year Miami finally shows up and proves many of us wrong?
I am bearish on NC State having them at #8 while the ACC poll has them at #4. Of all my selections, this is the one I may regret. Time will tell.
My picks of Wake Forest at #9 and Syracuse at #10 lined up with the ACC poll.
The ACC poll and my ballot had Boston College, Virginia Tech, and Georgia Tech (in some order) all landing between #11, #12, and #13.
And yes I'm bearish on Virginia putting them last at #14 as did the ACC poll.

I think the ACC could have nine bowl teams when the regular season is over.
