The Brotherhood Run Continues: Duke to Face Johnny Dawkins and UCF

The Brotherhood Run lives on! On October 21st, Duke will welcome former Blue Devil star Johnny Dawkins and his UCF team to Cameron Indoor Stadium for an exhibition game. It promises to be a special moment as Jon Scheyer’s Blue Devils face off against a familiar face, bringing the Duke family full circle once again.

Last season, many fans and media—myself included—enjoyed seeing the Brotherhood Run kick off when Bobby Hurley and his Arizona State Sun Devils came to Cameron Indoor. The game wasn’t close, with Duke cruising to a 103–47 victory, but the true significance was welcoming back a Duke legend in front of the Cameron crowd.

Now, another special moment awaits. Johnny Dawkins—another Duke icon both as a player and former assistant coach—returns to Cameron, this time leading his UCF squad. The Brotherhood lives on.
