Duke fans are in for a treat this evening.
Today, Duke Basketball is opening its doors and inviting fans to a free open practice. Fans will get a first look at the 2025–2026 Blue Devils as they hit the court and prepare for another exciting season. A Full Fan Experience From what we’re seeing on social media, this isn’t just a practice — it’s an event. Expect photo booth opportunities, bracelet giveaways, and a few other surprises sprinkled in. It’s clear Duke is going all in to make this a fun and memorable experience for the fanbase. A Nod to the Past Personally, I love seeing this kind of access. It reminds me of the old Coach K clinics I used to attend — those legendary sessions that gave coaches and die-hard fans a unique inside look at how Duke Basketball operated. For a small fee back then, you’d walk away with insights from the GOAT himself, a Duke polo, and a deeper appreciation for the team’s culture. It was a hidden gem for coaches and true fans. Scheyer’s Spin on Tradition Now, under Coach Jon Scheyer, we’re kind of seeing a modern take on that same tradition. By opening practice to the public, Scheyer continues to build his connection with the Duke community — one that we have seen already that’s open, energized, and ready for the next era. This free open practice isn’t just about basketball — it’s about bringing fans into the journey and getting them excited for the upcoming Duke basketball season.
